Systems Administrator, Permanent, South Dublin

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading clinical research organisation based in south Dublin.  My client is looking for an experience IT professional to manage key areas of their business.

Working as part of an established team, the role will take responsibility for administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of their business applications.  Key areas will include incident management, request fulfilment, access management, security administration, event ad knowledge management.

  • You will provide technical support on applications in accordance with their project specifications under the defined Service Level Agreements
  • Maintain applications in the development and test environments for pre-release testing
  • Perform setup of users/roles/permissions as part of access management and security administration
  • Monitor the availability and performance of supported applications. Review system and application logs
  • Maintain proper system documentation and regularly review and maintain the IT knowledge base to improve overall customer experience
  • Monitor and address application related and job failure alerts on time
  • Assist with periodic maintenance OS patching activities as it relates to application testing
  • Triage issues and escalate it to other internal IT groups and IT Development teams as needed
  • Liaise with Application Vendor when required
  • Perform troubleshooting of application problems
  • Required to be on-call to support after hours issues as they arise

You will have:

  • Associate / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IT /Business Administration (Computer sciences, computer engineering)
  • Proven experience of customer service, system and or application administration
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Products and Network configurations
  • No nine-to-five job mentality
  • Flexibility with WFH and ability to be onsite within less than an hour
  • English in speaking/reading/writing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Full clean drivers license
  • Ability to travel to other internationally as required
