Native of Cork and living in the UK. My focus is simple: to help business owners navigate challenges, build stronger teams and create more profitable, sustainable businesses.
I work with business owners, CEOs and leadership teams across Ireland and the UK to help businesses overcome challenges, improve profitability and cash flow, and achieve their next stage of growth.
As a Senior Business Partner, Fractional COO, Director and Interim Board Member, I specialise in working with underperforming, distressed and growing SMEs. My approach is practical, hands-on and people-focused. I take the time to understand how a business really operates, listening to its leadership team and employees to identify the underlying issues that may be holding it back.
Once the key challenges are understood, I work closely with the CEO or business owner to develop a clear, achievable programme for positive change. I then support the delivery of that programme, working alongside internal teams and coordinating external specialists where needed to ensure that plans translate into meaningful, measurable results.
Helping Business Owners Move Forward
Every business faces its own challenges. Sometimes the focus is on restoring profitability, improving cash flow or addressing operational inefficiencies. In other cases, the business owner has reached a growth ceiling and needs the right support, expertise and leadership structure to take the company to the next level.
I have extensive experience across digital businesses, financial services, professional services, construction and manufacturing, primarily within the SME sector.
I also understand the unique challenges of family-owned businesses, particularly when family relationships and business responsibilities become intertwined. When communication breaks down and working relationships become unproductive, the impact can be felt throughout the organisation. I help business owners address these challenges, rebuild effective working relationships and create a healthier, more productive environment.
A key part of my role is helping business owners build the right teams around them. This often involves identifying gaps in expertise, introducing trusted external specialists and managing those relationships on the owner's behalf, allowing them to focus on leading and growing their business.
A Trusted Partner to Business Owners
I believe that business success comes from having the right people, leadership and support in place. My role is not simply to offer advice from the sidelines, but to become a trusted right hand, sounding board, confidant and mentor to the business owner.
I work alongside owners and their teams to build confidence, strengthen leadership, improve decision-making and create the foundations for sustainable growth.
In my experience, people follow great leaders; they simply work for a boss. Building a successful business means developing a team that shares a vision, takes ownership and works together towards common goals.
Supporting the Business Community Through BITA
Alongside my commercial work, I am proud to serve as an Ambassador for the British Irish Trade Alliance (BITA), a not-for-profit networking organisation that connects businesses and supports commercial relationships between the UK and Ireland.
