Service Technician

I am recruiting for a service technician for an independent business based in Cork.  This is an exciting organisation who have achieved outstanding growth in Ireland, who are innovative and working in a partnership on a number of cutting-edge projects. This business has an unenviable customer base throughout the country. A full training programme will be given to the successful applicant.

Working as part of a team, this role is suited to an ambitious experienced individual with compressor air experience coming from a mechanical background. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair and instillation of air compressors and other equipment
• Ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance to relevant standard operating procedure
• Carry out routine planned, corrective and predictive maintenance tasks to meet customer needs throughout Munster and beyond
• Respond to emergency breakdowns as required
• Ensure that parts required are send to the relevant department to be ordered
• Evaluation of all equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks to approved standards
• Handle customer enquiries regarding equipment condition or operation
• Review all parts of a job to assure compliance with requirements
• Promptly inform affected internal or external parties
• Documentation of daily activities

Qualifications

• Experience in the compressed air industry or similar electrical / mechanical industries
• Formal Mechanical technician qualifications would be desirable.
• An understanding of safety requirements
• Understanding and experience of maintenance and repair issues
• Use of tools and other repair equipment
• Full clean driver’s licence is essential
