CSC Partners are honoured to be working alongside Lighthouse, The Construction Industry Charity to source a fulltime Lighthouse Ambassador responsible for Fundraising and Business Development across all Ireland.

This position is pivotal to the continued success of an organisation established in 1964 in Dublin dedicated to the activities relating to the welfare of construction families in Ireland.  The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families. They receive no public funding and rely on the generosity of those within in the industry to help them to continue their vital work. We are looking for a  dedicated person with true passion, to work for the cause that is extremely fulfilling and rewarding and focuses on driving change and helping to improve the lives of others.

This is a home-based role and will represent  the charity across Ireland. Grow support from the construction community in the region in terms of donors and build awareness of our charity services. Work with the Regional Lighthouse Club Committee as an active team member by supporting their initiatives and events. Account Manage company supporters in the region and ensure annual donation renewal.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a donor care, fundraising, public-facing and/or administrative role.
  • Full Drivers Licence and access to your own car is required.
  • Excellent remuneration package on offer for this role.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Operational

  • Contact construction companies in the region and present to them the charitable services they can deliver to support their employees and subcontractors in the industry.
  • Working with these companies to engage with Lighthouse and communicate their Helpline, app ,masterclasses and MHFA training courses
  • Gain commitment from companies to become annual supporters of the charity through their Company Supporter programme or to deliver Lighthouse Fundraising Day every year to support the charity.
  • Produce monthly reports in relation to all Activity and Donors.
  • Work within agreed criteria, policies and practices and signposting to the assistance the charity can provide .
  • Ensure all company records are updated within Client Management System.
  • Work to agreed targets, providing positive outcomes and impactful results.
  • Be responsible and accountable for decisions and actions, positively engaging with supporters
  • Remain objective and professional when dealing with Trade organisations and Annual supporters
  • Operate as part of the Regional Lighthouse Club Committee to ensure we optimise their database and contacts including the existing membership.
  • Act as primary contact with CIF and media for their charity with Ireland
  • Act as primary contact with London Irish Rugby
  • Act as primary contact with BITA (British and Irish Trading Alliance)
  • Act as primary contact for any other British and Irish alliance connections that promotes relationships between construction companies in both countries
  • To take on any additional tasks and follow reasonable requests to support the wider team and charity
  • Flexibility in working hours is required. Donor events are held occasionally during evenings or weekends

Compliance

  • Keep, record, and maintain accurate records of contact, Lighthouse day activities, outcomes. To keep these records stored within the company database.
  • Share best practice, new ideas and suggestions for improvements with the wider team.
  • Any other reasonable request from the line manager relating to the support of the business requirements.
