Financial Controller – Cork City

CSC Partners Recruitment are working on an exclusive assignment with a developing company in Cork City. This  is an opportunity for an ambitious accountant with drive, determination to progress your career in a highly commercial business who are growing within their market. You will enjoy a level of exposure to senior management while reporting to the board. The position of Financial Controller will be an integral part of the senior management team, providing financial and analytical support as well as managing the day to day activities of the finance function for this business.

Your new role:

• Assistance in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports within defined timelines
• Working with the team to ensure the highest standards of internal controls and financial support services are in place to support the business
• Managing and supervising the accounting functions within the business
• Monitoring working capital and pursuing improvement initiatives, with particular focus on debtors and creditors, credit control cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Responsible for monthly payroll, manage HR, staff recruitment and contracts
• Assistance in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Assisting in year-end financial reporting and liaison with external audit
• Preparation of Statutory accounts, and various other statutory returns
• Generating and interpreting key management information
• Implement and manage a strong financial control environment
• Participation in various projects on an ad hoc basis 
  
  

You will be:

• Highly motivated, ambitious accountant with 5 years  commercial experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to prioritise and schedule work and time management skills
• Team player, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
• Strong IT skills including proficiency in Excel
